Teacher in Bay Area for many years
William Barrum Parker died Thursday, Nov. 2, 1995, in a Sacramento hospital of renal failure. He was 82. A native of Carthage, Texas, he was a resident of Amador County for 21 years, living in the Pioneer area.
Mr. Parker was a teacher for 22 years with the Daly City Unified School District, teaching for more than 20 years at Westmoor High School in Daly City. He graduated in 1948 from Southwest Texas University in San Marcus [sic] with a master of arts degree. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in San Marcus [sic], a member of the Masonic Lodge in Platonia [sic], texas, and was twice Past Patron of the Eastern Star of Daly City. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Parker of Pioneer, and a brother, James A. Parker of Texas.
At his request, no service will be held. Inurnment will be in Amador Memorial Cemetery in Pioneer.
